The film, which has been described by Oscar-nominated director Atom Egoyan as “absolutely beautiful” with "an amazing visual sensibility", has garnered the 2008 Global Audience Award for Best Anarchy Online Film. The flim was presented online with several other shorts and was the audience favorite! Rock Garden has since been playing in festivals all over the world such as the Toronto Reel Asian festival, the Barcelona Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, and the Copenhagen Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.
